All is well aboard the Salty Dawg. salty_dawg_a.jpg
Since the last email almost 2 weeks ago.... we have been Island hopping, usually cruising to a destination and then staying a day or two. Last Thursday we arrived in Marsh Harbor and stayed until Sunday in an anchorage protected from the 20 knot winds with higher gusts. Then we
cruised 8 miles across the Sea of Abaco to attend Nippers on Great Guana Cay for the weekly Sunday Pig Roast. Joined up with some people we had met at other anchorages. nippers_dock.jpg
After a couple of days we moved on to Man-O-War Cay. Dennis and I loved walking in the quaint town and chatted up some of the locals. Mr Albury of the famous boat makers and the girls at the Sail shop were great fun. The Boch's took us to lunch at the Pavilion and we all had some form of conch.
Today we arrived at Green Turtle Cay to attend the Heritage Festival this weekend.

We have not had much luck at fishing, but not to worry, the freezer is still well stocked.
Except for wind the weather has been great with only one rainy day. The water colors are breath taking.green_turtle_festival.jpg
Hard to believe we have been aboard 3 weeks. There are many places we have not yet been, so will have no problem filling the
days until we head north. Sometime mid May we will begin listening for a favorable weather report to make the off shore run up the coast.
Will keep you posted when we can.
Later, Esther
