After 3+ years as liveaboards cruising the east coast, our Europa morphed itself into a waterfront condo.
Now, almost 2 years later, we have recently purchased our 1986 27' aft cabin (78 Hp Nissan)W/trailer. We will name her MATES to celebrate who we are and the joining of our last names of Macken & Yates. Small enough to fit at our dock and make it under the bridge to the ICW, yet large enough to still cruise on for extended periods.
Plans are to continue cruising and do the Loop with several other boating friends within the next few years. We find your extensive knowledge on the subject helpful and thank you for that. Any other quirks commom to these trawlers that you could mention would also be appreciated. |

Your article and pictures about Green Turtle Key are fabulous. I was there several times, mostly on sailboats and found the "outer islands" of the Bahamas to be excellent !!
Nassau and West End and those sorts of places leave much to be desired, unless wear plaid shorts with knee high black socks.Love your web site - we met on the ICW several years ago just north of Charleston - had a nice chat - and went on our way.
